My name is J. Perryman, I am a lens-based visual artist based in Toronto, Ontario. My passion for visual arts has been a driving force in my life for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I was fascinated by the power of imagery and storytelling, and I quickly gravitated toward creating my own visual narratives. What started as a childhood curiosity, soon evolved into a lifelong pursuit of artistic expression.
At the age of 12, I discovered stop-motion animation and began creating my own short films. I shared these early works on YouTube, where they gained a small but dedicated following. This experience not only strengthened my technical skills but also reinforced my love for the creative process. It was during this time that I realized visual storytelling was more than just a hobby—it was my calling.
After high school, I pursued my passion for media arts academically, studying at Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario. I completed both the Video Production and Photography programs as a dual-diploma honours graduate. My time at Durham allowed me to refine my technical abilities, develop a deeper understanding of visual composition, and explore the many ways imagery can communicate meaning.
Today, I provide high-end, publication-grade photography services throughout the Greater Toronto Area. My work is driven by a commitment to quality, creativity, and storytelling. Whether capturing portraits, commercial imagery, or artistic compositions, I strive to create images that resonate and leave a lasting impression.
As I continue my journey as a visual artist, I remain dedicated to pushing creative boundaries and refining my craft. I am always seeking new opportunities to collaborate, innovate, and bring compelling visual stories to life.
